Jack Laverne Dalton, 63, of 114 Carson Drive, Cowpens, SC, passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at his home. Jack was born in Cowpens, SC on December 22, 1952, a son of the late Jack Raymond and Doris (Messer) Dalton. He was the husband of Rebecca (Surrett) Dalton, was formerly employed at Healthtex, MPI and Sumineo Corp in Gaffney and was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife he is survived by a daughter, Autumn Tate Destaffino, of Gaffney; a son, David J. Tate, of Boiling Springs; a sister, Faye Holder, of Mayo, four grandchildren, Britney Dalton, Kayla Dalton, Bailey Tate all of Boiling Springs and Jordan Destaffino of Gaffney. He was predeceased by a son, Levy Dalton and a brother, Ray Dalton. The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends Friday, April 15th from 6:00 — 8:00 PM at North Spartanburg Church of God, 2069 Chesnee Hwy, Spartanburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gentiva Hospice, 905 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29302 or American Red Cross, 131 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29306.
