Mr. J. T. Ravan, 81, of 2240 Bishop Road Inman passed away Friday, August 10th, 2007 at Mary Black Memorial Hospital, Spartanburg, SC after a brief illness.

Mr. Ravan was born in Inman, S.C. on October 6, 1925, the son of the late Theron R. and Bessie (Henson) Ravan.

He was the widower of Selma Lee (Clement) Ravan, retired from J.P. Stevens and was a member of Inman First Baptist Church where he was a member of the Winsome Sunday School Class.
He is survived by one son: Gary D. Ravan and wife Karen of New Prospect, SC, one daughter: Judy R. Newman and husband Mike of Columbia, SC, two sisters: Ruth McMillan of New Prospect, SC, Grace Comer of Columbia, SC, two grandchildren: Rev. Jason M. Ravan of Forth Worth, Texas and Kevin A. Ravan of Spartanburg, SC

Funeral services will be held at Inman First Baptist Church, Inman, SC, at 3:00 PM on Monday, August 13th, with Rev. Jason M. Ravan and Rev. Chuck Byrd officiating and the Winsome Sunday School Class serving as Honorary Escort.

Mausoleum Encryptment will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Inman, SC.

The family is at the home of his son Gary, 122 North Pacolet Road, New Prospect, SC and will receive friends in the church atrium Monday immediately following the service at Inman First Baptist Church.
In Lieu Of Flowers donations may be made to the Inman First Baptist Church, 14 N. Howard St., Inman, S. C. 29349
