Isaac W. "Ike" Bryant, Sr.

Isaac Warren "Ike" Bryant, Sr., 94, of 6240 New Cut Road, entered fully into the presence of his Lord and Savior, on Friday, July 20, 2018. Isaac was born in Inman, South Carolina on October 5, 1923, a son of the late Reuben Isaac Bryant and Sudie Williams Bryant. He attended Gramling High School and shortly after graduation, enlisted in the United States Navy, where he served in the North Atlantic theatre until the end of World War II. Mr. Bryant was a 1950 graduate of Clemson College with a degree in Engineering and pursued a career in the textile industry. Isaac was a member of Holston Creek Baptist Church for most of his life, and lovingly volunteered his time to programs such as the Good News Club, the Bethlehem Walk, and served as the Shut-In Ministry Director until a few months before his death. He also volunteered his time with Spartanburg Regional Hospice and served with the Lion's Club, when he lived in Texas and Pendleton, South Carolina.
Mr. Bryant was predeceased by his lovely wife, Rosannah "Pat" Renwick Bryant and could tell you down to the minutes and seconds how long they were married. They were blessed with three sons and their families; Isaac Warren Bryant, Jr., and his wife, Julie of West Virginia; John Reuben Bryant, and his wife, Alana of South Carolina; Steve Allan Bryant of Texas; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and spouse, Mr. Bryant was predeceased by all seventeen of his siblings.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM on Thursday, July 26, 2018, at Holston Creek Baptist Church. Funeral Services will follow at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 26, 2018, at Holston Creek Baptist Church, conducted by Dr. Reggie Parker and Rev. Donnan Lawson. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holston Creek Baptist Church, Building Fund, 311 Holston Creek Church Rd Inman, South Carolina 29349.
Men of Faith Sunday School Class will serve as honorary escort.
