Irene Royster Lanford, 86, of 130 Riverdale Drive Inman, passed away Saturday, June 25th, at her residence. Irene was born in Union, S.C. on September 6, 1929, a daughter of the late Sophie Raverscroft Royster and George Royster. She was the wife of John M. Lanford and was retired from Cryovac.
She attended Milestones Church in Spartanburg.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son; William Lanford of Inman, her twin sister; Irma Conrad of N. Augusta, her special niece and nephew; Clint and Deborah Rowe, five grandchildren, and other nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers and two sisters.
A memorial service will be held at Seawright Funeral Home, Inman at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 29th, with Rev. Hub Blankenship, Jr officiating. The family is at the home and will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pathway Hospice 355 Woodruff Rd. Suite 201 Greenville, SC 29607 or Milestones Church 889 Simuel Road, Spartanburg, SC 29301.
