Campobello, SC---Mrs. Ida Viola Lawson, 83, of 2205 Motlow Creek Road, Campobello died Thursday, February 10th, 2011 at Village Hospital in Greer, S.C.
Mrs. Lawson was born in Campobello on August 17,1927, the daughter of the late Burey Haskel and Edna Becknell Parks.
She was the wife of Albert Eugene "Gene" Lawson.
She was a homemaker and was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Campobello.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Kathy Jean Belcher and husband Scott of Campobello, a brother, Lewis Parks of Inman, three grandchildren, Jeremy Melton and wife Sarah, Jason Melton and wife Stacy, Jerry Melton and wife Stephanie stationed in Ft. Carson, Co., and three great grandchildren, Kristopher Melton, Julie Melton, and Graycie Melton. She was predeceased by a son, Michael Eugene Lawson.
The family is at the home and will receive friends Wednesday 2-3:30pm at Seawright Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be held at Motlow Creek Baptist Church at 4:00pm on Wednesday, February 16th, conducted by Rev. Steve Alexander.
Memorial contributions may be made to Mobile Meals or Miracle Hill Rescue Mission.
