Hugh Nelson Steadman

Hugh Nelson Steadman, 74, of 533 "D" Otis Blvd., passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Mr. Steadman was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina on May 28, 1942, and was the son of the late Hollis Nathaniel Steadman and Helen Morrow Steadman. He served his country in the U.S. Army in Vietnam and was a member of Inman First Baptist Church. He had retired from Hoechst Celanese after 35 years of service and worked several years for Sears in Spartanburg. Hugh was also a realtor for over 10 years with Coldwell Bankers.
His survivors are cousins: Bill Steadman and his wife, Cheryl of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, Sharon Green and her husband, Michael of Spartanburg, South Carolina, Joe Steadman and his wife, Vicki, of Inman, South Carolina, Jerry Steadman and his wife Lisa of Inman, South Carolina and Tim Steadman of Boiling Springs, South Carolina.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Steadman was predeceased by a cousin, Carolyn Steadman Jackson.
The visitation will be held, Saturday, April 15, 2017, from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM, at Seawright Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow in the Seawright Funeral Home Chapel at 3:00 PM on Saturday, April 15, 2017, conducted by Dr. Paul Moore.
