Howard Lee Parris, 84, of 29 Canaday Street, passed away Thursday, June 23, 2016, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Howard was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina, on November 8, 1931, a son of the late Boyce Lee and Mollie Owens Parris. He was the husband of Betty Bell Parris. Mr. Parris was a US Army veteran, a retired employee with Hoke Corporation and later retired with the Bilo Grocery store in Inman, South Carolina. He was a member of Inman First Baptist Church and the Goodwill Sunday school class.
In addition to his wife, Howard is survived by a daughter, Charmayne P. Eichman and her husband Jay of Huntersville, North Carolina; a son, Dale Parris and his wife Sandra of Greer, South Carolina; six grandchildren, Kacie Mobley, Adam Burrell, Luke Burrell, Jessica Eichman, Bryon Gwinn, Shana Brewer and four great-grandchildren.
Mr. Parris was predeceased by a son; Howard Lee Parris, Jr.; two brothers, Buford Parris, Rev. Talmadge Parris and one sister Eva Laughter
Visitation will be held, Saturday, June 25, 2016 from 2:30 until 3:30 PM at Seawright Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at Seawright Funeral Chapel, Inman, South Carolina, at 4:00 PM on Saturday, June 25, 2016 conducted by Dr. Paul Moore and Rev. Odell Moseley
Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens Inman, South Carolina.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Inman First Baptist Church Building Fund 14 N. Howard Street Inman, South Carolina 29349.
