Hilda Elaine Emory

Hilda Elaine Emory, 68, of Inman, South Carolina, passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at her residence.

Born in Polk County, North Carolina on September 27, 1955, she was a daughter of the late Sadie Lee (Waters) Alexson and Morris Hillard McFalls.  She was the loving wife of Winford Glenn Emory, Jr. having celebrated 51 years of marriage.  

She was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Landrum, South Carolina and worked for many years with Spartanburg County School District 1 in the cafeteria, having spent many years working at Chapman High School.  

In addition to her husband, she is also survived by one daughter, Leslie Marie Cooper and her husband Les; one son, Eric Glenn Emory and his wife Christie; two sisters, Shirlene Abernathy and her husband James and Anna Perry and her husband Tommy; one brother, Randy McFalls and his wife Diane along with three grandchildren, Morgan Parris, Loren Cedeno and Gina Glenn and three great grandchildren, Tanner Cantrell, Asher Babcock and Tatum Babcock.  

She was also predeceased by one daughter, Melissa Elaine Mabry; one grandson, Caleb Parris and two sisters, Earlene Blackwell and Kathy McFalls.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at Seawright Funeral Home in Inman, South Carolina with Dr. Tommy Turner officiating.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.
