Herman Elvin Jackson, 81, of Boiling Springs, South Carolina, passed away on Monday, January 5, 2026 at his residence.
Born in Spartanburg County, on June 5, 1944, he was a son of the late Emily Ruth (Smith) Jackson and Elvin Lee Jackson and was the loving husband of the late Barbara Kay (Slater) Jackson. He was first married to the the Martha Switzer Jackson.
Herman attended Arkwright Baptist Church, was a Mason and a Shriner. He worked for Y.C. Ballenger for many years and was last employed with Piedmont Delivery. Herman loved fishing and being outdoors.
He is survived by one son, Gary Jackson; three daughters, Crystal Musgrave (Robert), Connie Jackson (Tucker) and Karen Lawson (Tracy); two sisters, Faye Cothran and Linda Reid (Harold Branham) along with nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and Barbara and Martha, he was also predeceased by two grandsons, John Powell and Conner Jackson; two brothers, Charles Jackson and Eddie Jackson and his two brothers-in-law, Bob Cothran and Opie Reid.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at Seawright Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Sparks officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.
