Inman, SC--- Herbert Eugene Owens, 74, of 430 Cinnamon Ct. passed away on Thursday, June 1, 2017. Born in Saxon, SC on September 16, 1942, a son of the late Idel (Stephens) Arrowood and Greenberry Owens and was the husband of the late Barbara Ann (Hammett) Owens. He is survived by two sons, Eddie Owens and his wife Phyllis of Inman, South Carolina and Timothy Owens of Inman, South Carolina; three grandchildren, Eddie Eugene Owens II, Amanda Susan Ann Owens and Scott Madison Owens all of Inman, South Carolina. Mr. Owens retired from the United States Army after serving for 22 years and 10 months and was a Vietnam War Veteran. The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 3, 2017 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at Seawright Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held in the Seawright Funeral Home Chapel at 3:00 PM on Sunday, June 4, 2017 with Rev. Alan Ruff officiating. Burial with Full Military Honors provided by the Rutherford County Honor Guard will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Inman, SC.
