Inman,SC---Henson Eugene Williams, 84, of 115 Lakeview Street, Inman, SC, went home to be with his Lord Saturday, October 22, 2016 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Henson was born in Manly, NC on November 6, 1931, a son of the late Herbert and Ruthie (Martin) Williams. He was the husband of Barbara (Blue) Williams having celebrated 61 years of marriage. He retired from NN White as a truck driver and was employed with Milliken for over 25 years, was a member of Tyger River Presbyterian Church in Moore, SC and was a Mason
In addition to his wife, Henson is survived by two daughters, Terri Williams, of Inman; Timberly Orr (Billy), of Inman; two sons Tracy Williams (Lisa), of Inman; Tony Williams (Tracy), of New Philadelphia, OH; two sisters, Betty Sewell, of Carthage, NC; Ruth Frye, of Aberdeen, NC; three brothers, Raymond Williams, James Williams, Leon Williams, all of Southern Pines, NC, eight grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Tim Williams.
He served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War and was a member of the Inman American Legion Post #45. The family is at the home and will receive friends Monday 2:00 - 3:00 PM at Seawright Funeral Home.
A memorial service will be held at Seawright Funeral Chapel, Inman, SC, at 3:00 PM on Monday, October 24th, with Dr Tim Clark officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Legion Post #45, P0 Box 627, Inman, SC 29349.
