Henry Ray Christopher, 85, of 1100 Christopher Road Campobello, passed away Monday, May 26th, doing what he loved, tilling his garden.
Born in Spartanburg on June 3, 1928, a son of the late Bessie Hines Christopher and Henry Stroud Christopher and was the widower of Dorothy Sawyer Christopher.
He retired from Southern Railroad and was a farmer.
He served in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.
He is survived by two daughters; Martha Christopher and Sandra Christopher Brown, two sisters; Betty Noland and Joanne Benstead; his grandchildren: Shana, Jason, Jeni, Misti, Chip, Katie; his great grandchildren: Kane, Lane, Hannah, Madison, Aspen, Autumn, Addison, Kangon, Sawyer, Channing; and was a friend to many.
The family is at 920 Christopher Road, Campobello and will receive friends Thursday 4:30 until 6:00 PM. at Seawright Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be held at North Pacolet Baptist Church Cemetery at 10:00 AM on Friday, May 30th, with Rev. Peter McDonald officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations of non-perishable food, to continue with his charity of feeding others, to be brought to the home for distribution to food banks.
