Hellon Maxine Thompson Brooks, 70, of 10151 Asheville Hwy. passed away unexpectedly Friday, June 1, 2018 at her home. Hellon was born in Spartanburg, SC on February 17, 1948, and was the daughter of the late William Talley and Emma Lois Durham Thompson. She was the beloved wife of Danny Floyd Brooks and was of the baptist faith. She had worked as an executive secretary most of her life.
Hellon is survived by a son, Rev. Ronnie Morris and his wife Allison of Clemson, SC, three daughters, Michelle Koerber and her husband Jon of San Ramon, CA., Rhonda Morris of Seneca, SC, Michelle Taylor and her husband Daniel of Inman, SC, three sisters, Catherine Andrews of Inman, SC, Martha Case of Columbia, SC, Wanda Wooten of Wake Forest, NC and four grandchildren. Hellon was predeceased by three brothers, Donald, Talley and Leroy Thompson and three sisters, Frances Lister, Linda Thomason and Evelyn Perkins.
The family will receive friends this Friday, June 8, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 11:45 AM at Seawright Funeral Home in Inman, SC. Funeral services will follow in the Seawright Funeral Home Chapel at 12 Noon conducted by her son, Rev. Ronnie Morris. Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, 1451 Compton Bridge Rd., Inman, SC 29349. The family will be at the home. An online guest register is available at: www.seawright-funeralhome.com.
