Inman, SC--Mrs. Hellen Missora (Zora) Smart, 87, of 59 Blackstock Rd. but formerly of 12 Blackstock Road went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 29th, 2009.
Born in Polk County, NC on August 19, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Dewey and Minie (Martin) Whiteside and was the wife of the late Virgil Roscoe Smart.
She was employed with the Inman Laundry for over 40 years, was a member of Lake Cooley Baptist Church and was a former member of the American Legion Post #45 Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by one sister, Louise Karom and her husband Omar of New York, two brothers, Jerry Whiteside and his wife Linda of Gramling, SC and Charles Whiteside of Morganton, NC. She was predeceased by one sister, Ruth Blanton and one brother, Ernest Whiteside.
Graveside services will be held at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Inman at 3:30 PM on Tuesday, December 1st, with Rev. Mark Cannon and Rev. Donnan Lawson officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the graveside.
Memorial contributions may be made to Lake Cooley Baptist Church Building Fund, 2591 Ballenger Road, Wellford, SC 29385.
