Helen Louise Rice, 79, of 304 West Wood Street, passed away Monday, June 15th, 2015 at Regional Hospice Home. Mrs. Rice was born in Spartanburg on September 9, 1935, a daughter of the late William and Grace Rhymer Robinson. Helen was the widow of Calvin Rice and was first married to the late Calvin Frank Wilson. She retired as an inspector with a bag manufacturing company and was a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Spartanburg.
Mrs. Rice is survived by two daughters; Robin Willis and her husband Doug of Pacolet, Tonia McGugan and her companion Eddie Phillips of Boiling Springs; one son, Ricky Wilson and his wife Margaret of Gaffney ; two sisters, Sue Valentine, of Greenville, and Claire White of Cocoa, Florida; nine grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandson.
She was predeceased by two sons; Steve Calvin Wilson and Press Lee Wilson.
A memorial service will be held at Seawright Funeral Home on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at 11:00 A.M., conducted by Rev. Allen Elder.
The families are at their respective homes.
