Helen Sue Hyatt, 78, of 1732 Riddle Road Pauline, SC, passed away Friday, September 18th, at her home.
She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.
She was born and raised in Cowpens, SC on October 30, 1941; a daughter of the late Rev. Paul A Coyle and Evelyn Coyle. She was the widow of James R. Hyatt of 58 years. Sue retired from Walnut Grove Methodist Preschool in 2003, and before that she was a longtime seamstress. She loved the Lord, and was always a faithful servent from teaching Sunday School to singing in many church choirs. Her passion and talent was to write poetry, and she received the Editior's Choice Award for Outstanding Achievement in Poetry.
Sue is survived by her two daughters; Debbie Pruitt (Nelson) and Lori McDaniel both of Pauline; two brothers; Sam Coyle (Marlene) of Morehead City, NC and Tim Coyle (Kelly) of Aiken, SC; a brother in law; Dennis Hyatt (Diane) of Pauline; her grandchildren; Allen Pruitt (Arielle), Brooke Lowe (Joey), Clayton McDaniel and Bailie McDaniel; and one great granddaughter; Addy Grace Pruitt. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also predeceased by a sister; Joan Elizabeth Gasperson and a son-in-law; Billy McDaniel.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 3, 2020 in the chapel at Seawright Funeral Home conducted by Dr. Tim Williams. Visitation will follow immediately after the service. Covid 19 guidelines will be followed. The family is at the home, 1732 Riddle Road, Pauline.
