Helen Jean Fowler
Helen Jean Fowler, 75, of Inman, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 16, 2014 at Park Place Assisted Living in Spartanburg, SC. Jean was born in Inman, SC on March 3, 1938, a daughter of the late Elma (Evington) Pike and John P Pike. She was predeceased recently by her husband of 56 years, Robert Howard Fowler. She retired from School District One where she worked in the cafeteria and drove a school bus. She was an active member of Inman First Free Will Baptist Church, the Seasoned Saints and was known for her coconut cakes with the Ladies Auxilary. Jean is survived by a daughter, Tina Wilson (Chris), two sons Keith Fowler (Lynn), Gary Fowler (Wanda), all of Inman, eight grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by two brothers and one sister. The family is at the home of her daughter, 778 Windmill Hill Road, Inman and will receive friends Wednesday, February 19, 2014 from 2:00 - 3:00 PM at Inman First Free Will Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow in the church sanctuary at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, February 19th, with Rev Sean Fortner and Rev Earl Hendrix officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Inman, SC. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Inman First Freewill Baptist Church Seasoned Saints, 90 Blackstock Rd, Inman, SC 29349.
