Helen Christine Clayton Files, 84, of 1 Anderson Street, Inman, passed away Wednesday, November 20th, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
She was born in Inman on January 11, 1929, a daughter of the late Marion Grace Brown Clayton and Ralph Clayton, Sr. and was the widow of Henry Elton Files, Sr.
She was a homemaker and had worked early on in retail sales and care giving and was a member of Inman First Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons Jerry Files and wife Wanda, of Inman; Henry Files, Jr and wife Janice, of Inman;
two sisters, L Brenda Clayton of Madison, WI; Carolyn D Clayton of Belton, SC; a sister in law, Dorothy Carubba of Gulf Shore, MS; a brother in law, Wilbur Files of Orlando, FL; three grandchildren, Holly Files, Nikki Simpson, Lee Files; and three great grandchildren, Henry Inman, Logan Simpson, Allie Files. She was predeceased by a son, Larry W. Files, a brother, Ralph Clayton Jr., and two sisters, Nadine Cusack, Audrey Gowan.
Graveside services will be held at Roselawn Memorial Gardens at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 23rd, with Dr. Paul Moore officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday immediately following the service at Seawright Funeral Home until 1:00 PM.
