Mrs. Helen Stephens Arthur, 86, of 104 Campton Circle died Friday, February 12th, 2010 at Regional Hospice Home. Mrs. Arthur was born in Spartanburg on November 21, 1923, the daughter of the late Martin Luther and Lois (Dillard) Stephens. She was the wife of Frank Watson Arthur and had retired from Inman Mills. She was a member of Inman First Baptist Church and the Faith Sunday School Class who are to be Honorary Escort. She was also a member of the Inman American Legion Women's Auxiliary.
Survivors include a step-son Cecil Arthur and his wife Linda of Spartanburg, a sister, Betty Petty of Inman, two brothers, Harold Stephens of Columbia, SC, Martin L Stephens, Jr. of Spartanburg , three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Kathy Horton McDowell.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Feb. 15, 2010 at 2:00 PM at the Seawright Funeral Chapel conducted by Revs. Tom Legrand and Sean Fortner. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. The family is at the home.
