Hattie Smith

Hattie Faye Smith, 75, of 81 Blackstock Road went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 19, 2013. Born in Fingerville, SC on June 12, 1937, She was the daughter of the late Leater (Henderson) and Benjamin Lee and was the loving wife of Mr. RC Smith having celebrated 57 years of marriage. Mrs. Smith was a was a member of Lake Bowen Baptist Church where she helped in the nursery for many years and had worked for Fingerville Mills and Inman Mills for more than 24 years.

In addition to her husband, RC, She is survived by two sons, Danny Smith (Jane) and Ted Smith; six daughters, Kathy Overcash (Ralph), Ann Wyatt (Ray), Barbara Gilbert (Henry), Linda Lawson, Diane Smith, Wanda Sprinkle; two sisters, Flora Jolley (Ed) and Betty Abernathy along with 17 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one child, her twin sister Kay Lee, and three brothers, Oneal Henderson and Paul and Russell Lee.

The family will receive friends at Seawright Funeral Home on Monday, April 22, 2013 from 12-2 PM.
Funeral services will follow at 2PM in the Seawright Funeral Chapel with Rev. Preston Edmonds officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
