Grace Johnson

Spartanburg, SC---Mrs. Grace Bridges Johnson, 94, of 400 Locust Grove Rd. went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 16, 2013. Born in Inman, SC on August 19, 1918, she was the daughter of the late George Bryson and Anna (Denton) Bridges and was the wife of the late Mr. Roy Nathaniel Johnson. She was a member of Inman United Methodist Church and had worked as retail clerk throughout her life. Mrs. Johnson is survived by two daughters, Linda J. Lawson of Covington, GA and Carol J. Boykin and her husband Jerry of Greer, SC; five grandchildren, Ken Lawson and his wife Cheryl of Oxford, GA, Cory Lawson, of Atlanta, GA, Alan Boykin of Greer, SC, Addie Smart and her husband Trevor of Greer, SC and Mark Johnson of Atlanta, GA and four great grandchildren, Kristen Lawson, Madison Boykin, Bryson Boykin and Caitlin Smart. She was predeceased by two sons, Don Johnson and Harold Johnson and a son-in-law Glenn Lawson. The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 19, 2013 from 2:00 - 3:00 PM at Seawright Funeral Home. Funeral services will immediately follow at 3:00 PM in the Seawright Funeral Chapel with Dr. Henry Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the Inman Cemetery. The family will be at their respective homes. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the "Activities Department" at Valley Falls Terrace, 400 Locust Grove Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
