Grace Elizabeth Chaffin Cox, 88, of 22 G St died Sunday, Sept, 22, 2013 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills in Landrum, SC. Mrs. Cox was born in Whitney, SC on August 15, 1925 and was the daughter of the late James Fate and Carrie Weeks Chaffin. She was the widow of the late Walter Herbert Cox and was a homemaker. She was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Inman.
She is survived by a son, Reggie Cox of Inman, three grandchildren, Melissa Cox Marlow, Beth Cox Kuykendall and Wesley Tate, four step grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Vickie Cox Tate, daughter in law Barbara Davis Cox, and a step daughter, Ruth Brewster.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013 at 4:00 PM at Roselawn Memorial Gardens conducted by Rev. Gary Byrd. The family will receive friends after the service at graveside.
