Gordon Lowell McCrea, 82, of Abberly Lane in Boiling Springs passed away Thursday, July 23rd, at home.
Gordon was born in Mineola, New York on May 27, 1944, a son of the late Edith Bell McCrea and Gilbert Thompson McCrea. He was the husband of Marian Siemers McCrea of the home.
He was a graduate of State University of New York in Oswego, New York and retired after teaching auto mechanics for over 30 years at Valley Vocational Technical Center in Augusta County, Virginia. He served in the U.S. Air Force achieving the rank of sergeant during the Vietnam War. Mr. McCrea was a member of New Beginnings United Methodist Church in Boiling Springs.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Cynthis Bess and her husband, Christopher, of Ft. Worth, Texas, a son, Scott McCrea and his wife, Amy, of Asheville, North Carolina, three brothers, Douglas McCrea and his wife, Vicki, of Raleigh, North Carolina, David McCrea and his wife, Helen, of Erie, Pennsylvania, Kenneth McCrea of Stephens, Pensylvania, and five grandchildren; Jack, Sarah, Samantha, Jake, and Carrie.
