Gladys Emma Collins, 83, of 748 Bryant Road, Inman, passed away Sunday, August 24th, at her residence.
She was born in Landrum on July 13, 1931, a daughter of the late Suzie Pettit Bridgeman and James E. Bridgeman and was the widow of Carl O. "Bud" Collins.
She was a homemaker. She is survived by a daughter, Diann C. Strange (Neil) of Inman, a son, Kerry Collins (Sandy) of Inman; grandchildren, Tim Collins (Missy) of Boiling Springs, Whitney Strange of Ft. Worth, Texas, Lanna Collins (Trey) of Campobello, Summer Collins (Cameron) of Taylors, Brea Williams (Dexter) of Boiling Springs, Boone Collins of Chesnee; four great grandchildren; her sisters, Eileen "Sis" Campbell (Clarence) of Spartanburg, Dorothy "Dot" Turner of Campobello, Thelma Thompson of Rutherfordton, NC, brother, Donald Bridgeman of Landrum, cousin, Maggie Sue Edwards of Columbus, NC, a friend, Marianne Eubanks of Inman, and her most special furry friend, Sissy of the home. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also predeceased by a son, Eddie Collins (Marlene).
The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends Tuesday following the service at the graveside.
Graveside services will be held at Good Shepherd Memorial Park, Boiling Springs at 1:00pm on Tuesday, August 26th, with Rev. Mitch Crow officiating.
In addition to flowers memorials may also be made to a favorite charity.
