Virginia “Ginny” Ward Ramantanin
Virginia “Ginny” Ward Ramantanin, 72, of Inman, South Carolina, passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2026.
A lifelong resident of Inman and a member of Inman First Baptist Church, Ginny was known for her strength, determination, compassion, and kind heart. Strong-willed and independent, she lived her life with purpose and a deep devotion to her family. She had a generous spirit and committed much of her life to caring for others, always putting the needs of those she loved before her own.
Ginny graduated from Chapman High School and the University of South Carolina, where she earned a degree in Psychology. She was a local business owner of Furniture City and Ginny Ward Florals. She was a woman of many talents, who could do anything she set her mind to, from gardening to repairing appliances. Resourceful, creative, and never afraid of hard work, Ginny took great pride in doing things herself and doing them well.
Ginny found happiness in life's simple pleasures. She had a special talent for unique and sustainable floral designs and loved caring for her home and property. Whether tending to the land, working in her garden, or creating something beautiful with her own hands, she poured her creativity and determination into everything she did. Her home was a reflection of her hardworking spirit and a place of beauty and welcome for family and friends.
Above all, Ginny treasured her family and the special bonds she shared with those she loved. She was a devoted daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend whose love and presence will be deeply missed. Her strength, loyalty, and unwavering devotion to her family will remain a lasting part of the lives she touched.
Ginny was preceded in death by her parents, George and Ruth Ward.
She is survived by her daughter, Caroline Burnette, and her husband, Eric; her son, Thomas Ramantanin, and his wife, Melissa; her beloved granddaughter, Charlotte; her twin brother, George Ward Jr., and his wife, Laura; as well as her niece, nephews, great-niece, and great-nephews.
Ginny will be remembered for her independent spirit, her capable hands, her caring heart, and the love she gave so freely. Though her presence will be deeply missed, the beauty she created, the strength she demonstrated, and the love she shared will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
The family will receive friends Sunday, October 25, 2026, at the Inman First Baptist Church Atrium from 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM. A celebration of life service will follow in the church sanctuary at 4:00 PM with Dr. Paul Moore officiating.
