Gertrude Alewine Westmoreland, 80, of 82 N. Main Street, Inman, formerly of Inn View Drive, passed away Monday, March 12, 2018 at Golden Age Nursing Home. Gertrude was born in Tryon, NC on June 16, 1937 and was the widow of Boyce Westmoreland. She retired from Inman Mills and later worked at Kid's First of Inman First Baptist Church Daycare. She was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church. She is survived by a daughter, Lisa Gardner of Inman; a son, Steve Westmoreland of Inman; a grandson, Steven Westmoreland; a brother, Richard; and a sister, Joyce. Funeral services will be held at Seawright Funeral Chapel, at 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 15th, with Rev. Mitch Crow officiating. The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends Thursday following the service at Seawright Funeral Home. Burial will be in Good Shepherd Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, PO Box 2151, 501 St. Jude Place, Memcphis, TN 38101-2151.
