Geraldine "Jerry" Spencer

Geraldine "Jerry" Brown Spencer, 91, of 2297 Spartanburg Highway, Pacolet, and a resident of Mountainview Nursing Home the last few years of her life, moved to her Heavenly home to be with Lord and Savior on, Wednesday, April 28, 2021.
Jerry was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina on November 4, 1929, a daughter of the late Ernest Brown and Bertha Genobles Brown and the step daughter of the late Nannie McBride Brown. She was predeceased by her husband of fifty one years, William Arthur "Dub" Spencer.
She was a member of Pacolet First Baptist Church and the Willing Workers Sunday school class and a 1947 graduate of Pacolet High School. Jerry was retired from the textile industry after fifty four years of service, last working at the Spartan Mills Rosemont Plant. She was known for her love of fishing and working in her yard. She loved having her family and friends in her home on Christmas Eve, and everyone knew her and her twin sister, Teany loved to shop. She was also famous for her chocolate cakes.
Geraldine is survived by two sons, Gerald Spencer, of Spartanburg, South Carolina; Dean Spencer and his wife, Debra of Pacolet, South Carolina. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Adam Spencer and his wife, Tiffani of Spartanburg, South Carolina, Jessica Spencer of Memphis, Tennessee; five great-grandchildren, Scarlett Spencer, Sebastian Spencer and Savannah Hull all of Spartanburg, South Carolina, and Madison Craig and Jaylynn Craig both of Memphis, Tennessee.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Spencer was predeceased by her infant son, James Thomas "Tommy" Spencer; brothers, Harold Brown and Fulton Brown; her twin sister, Ernestine "Teany" B. White Varner and sisters, Sherlon B. Wilkins and Ruth B. Fowler.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, May 1, 2021, at Pacolet First Baptist Church in Pacolet, South Carolina, conducted by, Rev. Tommy Sparks and Rev. David Moore. Visitation will follow the service in the church fellowship hall. Interment will be in Pacolet Memorial Gardens, Pacolet, South Carolina.
The families are at their respective homes. A special thanks to the staff of Mountainview Nursing Home for their kind and outstanding care.
