Spartanburg, SC---Mrs. Geraldine Gray High, 76, of 7137 Center Dr. Spartanburg, went home to be with the Lord Friday, July 24th, 2009.
Born in Spartanburg, she was the wife of Walter F. High having celebrated 58 years of marriage, and the daughter of the late James E. Gray and Ada Henson Gray. She retired from Spartan Undies where she worked as an inspector for many years and was a member of Gravely Memorial Methodist Church in Spartanburg.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Sandra Vinson and husband, Billy of Inman; five grandchildren, Melissa Vinson Koon and husband, Randy of Boiling Springs, Dennis F. High, Jr., Jason E. High, Scott Taylor and Wendy C. Bell all of Spartanburg; and ten great grandchildren. She was predeceased by one son, Dennis F. High.
Graveside services will be held at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Inman at 2 PM on Monday, July 27th, with Rev. Scott Gilmer officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the graveside.
Memorial contributions may be made to Gravely Memorial Methodist Church 7400 Lone Oak Blvd. Spartan burg, SC 29303. The family will be at the home of Billy & Sandra Vinson, 223 Pine Cove Dr., Inman, SC 29349. An online guest register is available at www.seawright-funeralhome.com.
