George Edward Roland, Jr., 70, of Inman, South Carolina, passed away Saturday, June 26, 2021, at the Upstate Community Hospice House in Landrum, South Carolina. George was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina, on September 23, 1950, a son of the late George Edward Roland, Sr., and Nina Kate Rhodes Roland. He was the husband of Julie Ann Quinn Roland. Mr. Roland was a retired employee of the City of Spartanburg and of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his wife, George is survived by a daughter, Coral Roland; a step son, Jay Wooten and his wife, Stormy; two sisters, Mary Jo Wilson; Joyce Ann Tulley and her husband, James.
George is also survived by six grandchildren.
Graveside Services will be held at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, June 30, 2021, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Spartanburg, South Carolina, conducted by, Rev. Scott Miller.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Gibbs Cancer Center 101 E. Wood Street Spartanburg, SC 29303.
