George Sylvester Hosmer

George Sylvester Hosmer, age 79, passed away peacefully with family by his side on January 27, 2025. He was born in Weymouth, MA and was the son of the late William and Louise Hosmer.

George is survived by his loving family: wife, Robin Sellman, brother, Steve (Cathy) Hosmer of Summerville, SC, their daughters, Melissa (Craig) Davis and Kerri (Tim) Gulesserian, sister Pam La Barre of N. Smithfield, RI, son, Bret Hosmer of Livermore, CA, Daughter Melissa (John) Payne of Discovery Bay, CA, granddaughters, Ashley, hailey and Cassidy payne and grandson Austin Hosmer. George was also loved and will be missed by Robin's brother Richard (Linda) Sellman and their son Jason (Kate)Sellman and son Jack and daughter Kara (Brad) Frome and sons Luke and Matthew. George and Robin's cat Zia will miss playtime with her "Dad". George loved his work as an aerospace engineer at Lockheed Martin for many years. He also had a passion for fine woodworking, creating beautiful furniture and useful pieces from wood for friends and family. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle, travel and reading. He was a truly special, thoughtful man who will be missed by all who knew and loved him. 

A Service of Remembrance will be held at the home on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at noon.
