George Leland Fisher, 83, of 109 Brock St. passed away Friday, November 23, 2007 at his home.
Born in Inman, S. C. on May 18, 1924, he was the son of the late William Frank and Ella Elizabeth Brice Fisher. He is survived by his wife, Mary Sue Johnson Fisher and two daughters, Sue Ann Walke and her husband Pat of Aiken, S. C., Judy Cowell and her husband Tom of Fort Mill, S. C. and a brother Nolan Brice Fisher .There are seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Jessie, Boyce and P. D. Fisher and five sisters, Betty M. Fisher, Eunice Owens, Pearl Fisher, Marie Hipp and Elizabeth Jackson.

Mr. Fisher was a member of Inman First Baptist Church, the Winsome Sunday School Class and was a World War II Army Veteran. He had retired from Bommer Industries.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 25, 2007 at 2:00 P. M. at the Seawright Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Paul Moore and Dr. Chuck Byrd conducting the services. Honorary Escort will be the Winsome Sunday School Class. Active pallbearers will be: Eber Blackwood, Willie Souther, George Souther, Leon Johnson, Bill Hollenbach and Charles Pace. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Inman.

The family is at 109 Brock St. and will receive friends at the funeral home today, Saturday, November 24, 2007 from 5:00 P. M. to 6:30 P. M.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either Mobile Meals, P. O. Box 461, Spartanburg, S. C. 29304 or to Interim Hospice ,775 Spartan Blvd., Suite 101, Spartanburg, S. C. 29301
