Arthur Eugene "Gene" Keller, 83, of 4991 New Cut Road Inman, passed away Monday, January 7th, at Regional Hospice Home. He was a lifelong native of Spartanburg County, born on June 15, 1929, as a son of the late Teetie Maude Burnette Keller and Arthur Gene Keller. He was the husband of Margaret Ellen Ballenger Keller.He retired from Tindall Concrete and was a member of Inman First Baptist Church, where he was a member of the Co-Ed III Sunday School Class. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a past member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Vicky Greene (Grady) of Inman, Debbie Hyder (Larry) of Landrum, Richard E. Keller of Inman, 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren, 11 step great grandchildren, a brother, Cornell Keller of Spartanburg, a sister, Frances (Ronnie) Atkins of Inman, sister, Erana (Bill) Carrier of Kannapolis, NC, and many special nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, William Keller, Benjamin Keller, Woodson B. Keller and sisters, Lounette K. Cooley and Patricia K. Cantrell.The family is at the home and will receive friends Wednesday 2-3:00 PM at Seawright Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Seawright Funeral Home at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, January 9th, with Dr. Paul Moore and Rev. Jeremiah Childers officiating.
