Gary Joe Bower

Gary Bower, 72, of Inman, South Carolina and native of New Washington, Indiana was born in Clark County, Indiana and was the son of the late Bryan Eugene Bower and Mary Bussey Bower.
Mr Bower went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at his home. He was retired from the Boilermakers Local 374, Hammond, Indiana after 36 years of service.. Mr Bower was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church, a former deacon and usher, and a member of the Ambassadors for Christ Sunday school class.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Debbie Horine Bower, a son, Mickey Bower (Coral) of Spartanburg, South Carolina, a daughter, Glenna Bower of Evansville, Indiana, grandchildren, Sarah Bower and Jacob Bower of Spartanburg, South Carolina, brother-in-law, Ron Horine (Donna) of Fairdale, Kentucky, a sister-in-law, Marquetta McCulloch (John), of Charlestown, Indiana and sister-in-law, Doris Bower of Charlestown, Indiana and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Thursday, August 27, 2020 from 12:00 - 1:00 PM in the sanctuary of Mount Zion Baptist Church with a "Celebration of Life Service" at 1:00 PM conducted by Rev Rob Gouge and Rev Monty King.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Mount Zion Baptist Church, 842 Mount Zion Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303 or Kindred Hospice, 905 East Main Street, Spartanburg, South Carolina 29302. Debbie and the family wish to express a special thanks to all his caregivers.
