Gary Wayne Benfield, 69, of 820 Inman Road, Inman, SC, passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at his home.
Gary was born in Spartanburg, SC on December 8, 1951, a son of the late Marie (Harris) Benfield and William Kermit Benfield.
He was the widower of Melissa Jane (Blackwell) Benfield and worked as a auto body repairman.
Gary is survived by a daughter, Bridgett Dameron, of Inman; three sons, Jerry Wayne Benfield, of Spartanburg; Terry Benfield, of Inman and Phillip Gilbert of Chesnee; a sister, Grace Grindstaff, of Wellford, seven grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, January 24th at Seawright Funeral Chapel in Inman, SC with Rev Joey Mills officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday at the funeral home from 2:00 - 3:00 PM.
