Garland F. Bryson, Jr, 83, of Inman, SC, passed away Saturday, December 22, 2012 at his residence. Garland was born in Old Fort, NC on October 3, 1929, a son of the late Ina Bryson Buchanan and Garland F. Bryson, Sr. He was the husband of Sharon Lee (Crowe) Bryson, was owner of Bryson Builders and was a member of Inman Mills Baptist Church for over 45 years. In addition to his wife, Garland is survived by two daughters, Toni Ingalls of Stuart, FI; Teri Flowers and husband Tommy of Gastonia, NC; two sons Scott R Bryson and wife Erika of Boiling Springs; Jason S Bryson and wife Mia of Gaffney; 4 grandchildren, Monika and Austin Bryson, Caitlin Boice and Dylan Bryson, 3 step grandchildren, Matthew Flowers, Ty and Jake Davidson, special friends, Billy and Daphine Spivey, Dean Chapman and Arley Gibson. Garland was predeceased by 2 sisters, Violet Edwards and Ina Crowe and his grandson Brandon McClure.
He served in the U.S. Navy and was a Mason and a Shriner. A memorial service with Masonic rites will be held Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Inman Mills Baptist Church, with Rev. Jack Hames and Rev Chuck Davis officiating. The family will receive friends at his home. In lieu of flowers, memorial. contributions may be made to Inman Mills Baptist Church, 22 B St, Inman, SC 29349 or Hospice Care of SC, 9101 Asheville Hwy, Boiling Springs, SC 29316.
