Frederick Selzer "Fred" Maus, III, 61, of 1055 Hammett Road, passed away Monday, October 29, 2018, at his residence. Fred was born in Greenville, South Carolina, on January 4, 1957, a son of Wilma Patterson Tiedeman, of Greenville, South Carolina and Frederick Selzer Maus, Jr., of Travelers Rest, South Carolina. He was the husband of Judy Marie Hammett Maus. He was an employee of CC Dickson Company and a member of Holston Creek Baptist Church. As a member of Holston Creek, Fred served in many capacities, he was a Royal Ambassador leader, youth basketball coach and a director and leader with the church's Upward programs. Fred was a former American Legion baseball coach with Inman Post 45, a former coach with the Inman Youth Association and a member of the 1974 High School State Championship Soccer Team, from Wade Hampton High School.
In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Maus is survived by a daughter, Brittany Maus Acquisto and her husband,Chris, of Chesnee, South Carolina; a son,Michael Maus and his wife, Hailey, of Lyman, South Carolina; a sister, Sharon Maus Stanley, and her husband, Jeff, of Inman, South Carolina. Fred is also survived by his four grandchildren, Mary Caroline Maus, Jackson Maus, Laurel Acquisto and Linley Acquisto.
Visitation will be held 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday, November 1, 2018, at Seawright Funeral Home in Inman, South Carolina. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, November 2, 2018, at Holston Creek Baptist Church in Inman, South Carolina, conducted by, Dr Reggie Parker, Rev. Andrew Sizemore and Dr. Tina Woody.
Burial will follow at Motlow Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family is at the residence.
