Mr. Frank Thomas Huckaby loving son, husband, father and grandfather of 1691 Little Mtn. Road, Inman passed away Tuesday, November 23rd, 2010 at his residence surrounded by his family.
Mr. Huckaby was born in Moore, SC on February 5, 1940, the son of the late Mamie Huckaby and was the widower of Barbara (Cook) Huckaby.
He is survived by 3 daughters: Teresa Meyers and husband Will of Palatka, FL, Debra Stephens Nesbit and husband Tom of Suwanee, GA, Cheryl Stephens Athey of the home, grandchildren: Jennifer Meyers Hummell, Josh Meyers, Jeanette Meyers, Gina Kyle Smith, Thomas (T J) Huckaby, Jr, Jamie Huckaby Gaddy, Stephen Arnold, Emily Nesbit, great grandchildren: Larkin Smith and Noah Byrd. He was predeceased by a son: Thomas Gene Huckaby and a sister: Betty Edge.
He retired from Bruckner Machinery in Spartanburg, was an active member of Inman First Freewill Baptist Church and served in the U.S. Army. He was also a proud member of the Hejaz Mid-City Shrine Club and the Inman Masonic Lodge #201.
The family is at the home and will receive friends Wednesday 5:00 - 7:00PM at Seawright Funeral Home.
Funeral services with Masonic Rites will be held at Inman First Freewill Baptist Church, Inman, SC, at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 26th, with Rev Sean Fortner, Rev Earl Hendrix and Rev Kenneth Cash officiating.
Burial with military honors will be in Good Shepherd Memorial Park, Boiling Springs, SC.
Memorial contributions may be made to Spartanburg Regional Hospice, 120 Heywood Ave., Suite 300, Spartanburg, SC 29302.
