Mr. Francis Dexter Morrow, 90, of 41 Bridges Street passed away on Friday, November 25th, 2011 at in Johnson City, TN at the Johnson City Medical Center.
Born in Landrum, SC on January 11, 1921, the son of the late William Dexter and Frances Amelia (Edwards) Morrow and was the husband of the late Helen (Ballenger) Morrow. Mr. Morrow retired from Department of Agriculture where he worked in Soil Conservation.
He was a member of Inman First Baptist Church and was in the Baraca/Winsom Sunday School Class. Mr. Morrow served in the U.S. Navy during WW II aboard the USS McCook. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Many nieces and nephews survive him. The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 29, 2011 from 2-3PM at Seawright Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow in the Seawright Funeral Chapel at 3:00PM with Dr. Paul Moore and Jeremiah Childers officiating. Serving as Honorary Escorts will be the Baraca/Winsom Sunday School Class. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens Inman, SC with Military Honors provided by the Rutherford County Honor Guard.
