Inman, SC---Mrs. Frances Diora Johnson Foster, 85, of 16 C Street Inman, passed away Friday, April 10th, 2009 at Regional Hospice Home.
Mrs. Foster was born in Inman, SC on November 2, 1923, the daughter of the late James A. and Bessie (Strange) Johnson. She was the widow of William "Bill" R. Foster, Sr.
She is survived by 1 son: Richey Foster and wife Nancy of Inman, 1 sister: Eloise Donahoo of Inman, 2 grandchildren: Casey Wilson and husband Cliff, Drew Foster and wife Cory Jo, 2 great grandchildren: Maddie Kate and Lillian Wilson. She was pre-deceased by 2 sisters: Roey J Collins, Mattie J Ward, 5 brothers: Paul, Ralph, Leon, Wofford, and Virgil Johnson.
She was formerly employed at Lyman Printing and Finishing and Inman Nursing Home and was a member of Wellford Baptist Church where she was a member of the Ruth Sunday School Class.
Funeral services will be held at Seawright Funeral Chapel, Inman, SC, at 3:00 PM on Monday, April 13th, with Rev Donnan Lawson and Dr. Michael Hamlet officiating. The family will receive friends at Seawright Funeral Home immediately following the service. The family is at the home of her son: Richey, 23 Dodd Lane, Inman.
Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to any of the following: Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303, Wellford Baptist Church Building Fund, 235 Syphrit Road Wellford, SC 29385 or First Baptist North Spartanburg Building Fund, 8740 Asheville Highway Spartanburg, SC 29316.
