Frances Edith Croom, 83, of 960 Wesley Court, Boiling Springs, formerly of 144 Loblolly Drive, Spartanburg, SC, passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills in Landrum. Edith was born in Old Fort, NC on June 24, 1934, a daughter of the late Troy M and Georgia (Creasman) Burrell. She was the widow of Charles E Croom, worked as a private duty caregiver and was a member of North Spartanburg Church of God. She is survived by a daughter, Terri Bagwell (Donnie), of Boiling Springs, one brother, Jim Burrell (Alice) of Pittsburgh, PA, one sister, Brenda B Joyner of Asheville, NC, one granddaughter, Stacy Parris Brown (Russ), three great-grandchildren, Layla Parris, Georgia Brown and Anastasia Parris. She was predeceased by her grandson, Landon J Parris. The family is at the home of her daughter, 188 Cantrell Ridge Drive and will receive friends Friday, May 11, 2018 from 2:00 - 3:00 PM at Seawright Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at Seawright Funeral Chapel at 3:00 PM with Rev. Randy Lewis officiating. Burial will be in Boiling Springs Memorial Gardens.
