Mrs. Florence Julia "Peggy" (Cochran) Rush, 80, of 63 Blackstock Road Inman died Wednesday, January 19th, 2011 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Rush was born in Inman, S.C. on November 18, 1930, the daughter of the late George Cochran and Marie Elizabeth Rogers and was the widow of George E. Rush.
Survivors include three sons, George Kevin Rush and his wife Linda of Spartanburg, David Edwin Rush of Spartanburg, James Casey Rush and his wife Kim of Franklin, Maine; sisters, Margaret Barnette, Doris Walkowicz, Rose Waldrop; a brother, David Cochran; and grandchildren, Brad Rush, Alexander Rush, Julia Rush, Anna Cochrane, Michael Rush, Kerian Rush and one great grandson, Ewan Cochrane. She was predeceased by a daughter in law, Delanie Rush.
She retired as an RN at Drs. Johnson and Elmore and was a member of Augusta Heights Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Inman High School and Spartanburg General Hospital School of Nursing.
A memorial service will be held at Seawright Funeral Home at 2:00pm on Sunday, January 23rd, with Rev. Jeff Cochran officiating.
The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends Sunday following the memorial service. Interment will be private in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society 154 Mile Stone Way, Greenville, SC 29615.
