Evelyn Joy Sembera, 78, of 4042 Tacco Court went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 9, 2018. Born in Columbia, SC on June 11, 1939, she was a daughter of the late Arthur J. and Ella Ruth (Vernon) Hutchinson and was the wife of Frank Hugh Sembera. Mrs. Sembera worked as a seamstress at Butte Knit and also Raycord Mills for many years and was a member of the former Hope Free Will Baptist Church. In addition to her husband, Frank she is also survived by one son, James Mann (Jennifer) of Easley, SC; two step-sons, Woodrow D. Harvey of Ocean Springs, MS and Larry D. Harvey (Kathy) of Spartanburg, SC; one step- daughter, Susan Cash of Chesnee, SC; two sisters, Ruth McDonald of Spartanburg, SC and Betty Helton of Cooley Springs, SC along with 12 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren; 4 nieces and 1 nephew and her 4 fur babies. She was predeceased by her parents, one daughter, Linda Mann, one brother, Arthur Thomas Hutchinson and one sister, Dorothy Pitts. The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 12, 2018 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at Seawright Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at Good Shepherd Memorial Park, Boiling Springs, SC, at 2:00 PM on Friday, April 13, 2018 with Rev. Kenneth Cash officiating.
