Mrs. Evelyn Heffner Pruitt, 87, formerly of 2730 Rainbow Lake Road, died Wednesday, January 2nd, 2008 at Magnolia Manor of Inman.
Mrs. Pruitt was born in Spartanburg, SC on December 26, 1920, and was the daughter of the late Luther and Cora Helton Brymer.
She was first married to the late Bennie Lawson Hefner for forty-four years. Following the death of her first husband, she was married to the late Robert Pruitt.
She was a member of Fingerville Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Gold Reachers Sunday School Class.
She is survived by seven daughters, Betty L. Padgett of Inman, Bobbie Jean McDaniel of Ellenboro, NC, Carolyn Snipes of Greer, Eunice Belue of Woodruff, Linda Camp Bussey of Fairforest, Judy Etters of Spartanburg, Ellen Beheler of Boiling Springs, two sons, Howard Hefner of Inman, Michael Hefner of Inman, two sisters, Annie Blackwood of Spartanburg., Inez Dalton of Chesnee. She is also survived by twenty two grandchildren, thirty two great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by two daughters, Marilyn Jolley and Shirley Scruggs, and a brother, John Henry Brymer.
Funeral services will be held at Fingerville Baptist Church at 2:00pm on Friday, January 4th, conducted by Rev. Andy Case and Rev. Dennis Carter. Burial will follow in Piedmont Baptist Church cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Larry Hood, Ronnie Hood, Bennie Etters, John Belue, Scott Etters, Michael Hefner, Jr.
The family is at the home of Betty Padgett at 2730 Rainbow Lake Road and will receive friends Thursday 6-8:00pm. at Seawright Funeral Home.
