Evelyn McCarter Nation, 88, of 1090 Ballenger Road, Inman, SC, passed away Monday, March 27, 2017 at her home. Evelyn was born in Inman, S.C. on September 30, 1928, a daughter of the late John and Gladys (Ballew) McCarter. She was the widow of Roy Eugene Nation, a homemaker and was a member of Inman Mills Baptist Church. Evelyn is survived by two daughters, Felicia Sherbert (Paul), of Inman; Alicia McCourry (Randal), of Inman; a sister, Doris Shehan, of Inman, two grandchildren, Mandy Smith, Darrell G Sherbert and two great grandchildren, Ethan and Dylan Smith. The family is at the home and will receive friends Thursday 1:00 - 2:00 PM at Seawright Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at Seawright Funeral Chapel at 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 30th, with Rev Joe Geddes officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
