Mrs. Evelyn Harmon "Granny" Edwards, 91, of 560 Inman Road Lyman died Tuesday, June 28th, 2011 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Edwards was born in Union on October 7, 1919, the daughter of the late Wilford and Bessie Mabrey Harmon. She was the widow of William Ervin Edwards.
She was a homemaker and was a member of Little Mountain Baptist Church where she had been active in church activities for many years.
She is survived by two sons, James W. Edwards of York, Everett E. Edwards of Lyman; four daughters, Joyce Mosley of Wellford, Ann Gott of Austin Town, Ohio, Barbara Brown of Greer, Melissa Mahaffey of Moore; thirteen grandchildren, twenty three great grandchildren, and two great great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a son, Joe Edwards, a daughter, Wilma Lopp, a brother, Jr. Harmon, and a sister, Jessie Horton Foster.
The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends Friday 10-11:OOam at Little Mountain Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held at Little Mountain Baptist Church at 11 :00 on Friday, July 1st, conducted by Rev. Terry Pleasant and Rev. Ansel Norris. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
