Eva J. Hines Lewis, 91, of Inman, SC, passed away Tuesday, September 25th, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center, Spartanburg, SC.
Eva was born in Polk County, NC on July 2, 1921, a daughter of the late Nannie (Cooley) and Miller Hines. She was the widow of William "Bill" Lewis, retired as owner/operator of Bill Lewis's Store and was a member of Holston Creek Baptist Church, Inman, SC .
Eva is survived by a daughter, Martha Ruff and husband Jack of Hendersonville, NC; a son, Ed Lewis and wife Candy of Williamston, SC; two sisters, Cornelia Prince, of Chesnee, Virginia Brannon of Spartanburg, a brother, Junior Hines, of Spartanburg, and 5 grandchildren, Chad Lewis, Crista Lewis, Tony Nodine, Pam Tolleson, Cameron Weaver and 6 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sisters, Lillian Bailey, Alatha Vassey and two brothers, Bill and Holland Hines. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, September 27, 2012 at the Seawright Funeral Chapel, Inman, SC, with Dr Reggie Parker officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 - 3:00 PM. Burial will be in Spring Hill Memorial Gardens, Chesnee, SC.
