Eugene S. Rosa

Eugene S. Rosa, 90, of Inman, South Carolina, passed away on Monday, May 22, 2023.

Born in Brooklyn, New York on October 31, 1932, he was the son of the late Mary (Toscano)  Rosa and Jose  Rosa and was the husband of the late Mrs.  Linda M. (Clanton) Rosa.

Mr. Rosa served in the United States Navy during the Korean War and retired from John Hancock Insurance where he was employed as a licensed agent for 31 years.   

He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, American Legion Post 0172, Disabled Veterans, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9539.   

He is survived by one daughter, Barbara J. Walker; two sons, Robert Jose Rosa and his wife Pamela and David John Rosa;  his companion, Naomi Marquez; five grandchildren, Justin Greene, Steven Atchison, Ashly Short, Elizabeth Rosa Root, James Walker, and six great-grandchildren.  

In addition to his wife and his parents, he was also predeceased by two brothers, Frank Rosa and Joseph Rosa; one granddaughter, Autumn Rosa Walker, and one great granddaughter, Dakota May Rosa Allegroe.

The family will receive friends at Seawright Funeral Home from 10:00-10:45 AM on Saturday, May 27, 2023.  Funeral service will follow in the Seawright Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 AM with Deacon Robert Mahaffey officiating.  

The family would like to express thanks to the wonderful staff of Spartanburg Regional Hospice for all the wonderful care given to Mr. Rosa.
