Ethel Mae "Mutt" Waddell, 86, of 204 North Cassidy Way, Campobello, and formerly of Church Street, Inman, passed away Thursday, January 19, 2017 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills in Landrum. She was born in Polk County , NC on June 19, 1930, a daughter of the late Lelar Pittman Green and Lee Green and was the widow of Bryson Waddell. She was a homemaker and was a member of Valley Falls First Baptist Church. She is survived by a daughter, Patsy Workman and her husband Daryl, of Campobello; a sister, Geneva G. Waddell of Lynn, NC; a granddaughter, Nicole "Nicki" Ward of Inman; and an adopted daughter, Shirley P. Parton and her grand-dog Bentley. Funeral Services will be held at Seawright Funeral Chapel at 10:00 am on Saturday, January 21st, with Rev Tommy Turner and Mr. Scott Waddell officiating. The family is at the home and will receive friends Saturday, following the service at Seawright Funeral Home. Burial will be in Fort Prince Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, 130 Forest Glen Drive, Columbus, NC 28722.
