Greer, SC--- Ethel Lee (Settle) Campbell, 87, long time resident of Lyman passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2015, at National Healthcare in Greer.
Born in Spartanburg County on January 29, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Hattie Eula Camp and George Furman Settle and was the wife of the late Leon Campbell, having celebrated 63 years of marriage before his passing in 2010. She attended Boiling Springs High School and was a long time active member Little Mountain Baptist Church. She worked for many years as a hairstylist and also in textiles.
She is survived by one daughter, Patricia Wall and her husband Rev. Rick Wall of Landrum, SC; one sister, Martha Campbell of Greer, SC; one brother, Gaston Settle of Texas; three sisters-in-law, Thelma Reynolds Cook of Taylors, SC, Betty Settle Black of Greer, SC and Margaret Raines of Lyman, SC along with three grandchildren, Leanne Wall of Landrum, SC, Eric Wall and his wife Erin of Greer, SC and Rebecca Wall Barbare and her husband Blake of Greer, SC and six great grandchildren, Campbell Williams, Ellen Anne Williams, Ross Williams, Ben Williams, Andrew Barbare and Pate Wall.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by three sisters, Margaret Galloway, Catherine Ravan and Mary Grubbs and one brother, Edward Settle.
A celebration of her life service will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Seawright Funeral Home with Rev. Rick Wall and Rev. Ansel Norris officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 PM one hour before the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Wood Memorial Park in Duncan, SC.
