Esther Arroyo Perez, 82, of 1012 Dorothy Street, Spartanburg, SC, passed away Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills in Landrum. Esther was born in San Diego, Mexico on February 17, 1932, a daughter of the late Concencion (Perez) and Alejandro Arroyo. She became a United States citizen on October 21, 2010. She was the widow of Ingracio Barajas, was employed at Holiday Inn and was a member of the Church of the Latter Day Saints. Esther is survived by four daughters, Carmen Barajas (Raul), Maria Ramirez (Martin), Ma Esther Barajas (Jose), Maria Barajas, three sons, Jose P Barajas (Faye), Francisco Barajas (Celia), Eleazar Barajas (Donna), five sisters, Rasario Martinez, Luzmaria Perez, Carmen Arroyo, Graciela Arroyo, Elia Arroyo, a brother, Giliberto Arroyo, 27 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 3 great, great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a grandson, Edward "Lee" Barajas and two daughters, Georgia Barajas and Ma Virginia Barajas. The family is at 151 Sandy Drive, Boiling Springs and will receive friends Thursday 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Seawright Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Seawright Funeral Chapel, Inman, SC, at 2:00 PM on Friday, November 21, 2014. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, 130 Forest Glen Drive, Columbus, NC 28722.
